Who is Rausi Consulting?
Nigel Rausi - MBA, ACII, CII(AWARD), FInst.SMM, MIM – Management Consultant and Chartered Insurer.
Nigel Rausi is a Management Consultant, a Chartered Insurer and a Lecturer having read a Masters Degree in Business Administration in General and Strategic Management through Maastricht School of Management (The Netherlands) and achieved Chartered Insurer status through the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).
He has vast experience in trading companies, having worked for one of the largest group of companies in Malta for a number of years as a Sales and Marketing Manager, and experience in the beverage industry having worked for a local beverage manufacturer and distributor as a Sales Manager.
In 1992 he co-founded an Insurance Agency in Malta writing business through Lloyds Underwriters and local insurance companies and held the post of Executive Director for sixteen years transacting most classes of Personal and Commercial lines of insurance business. During this time he was responsible for the overall administration and strategic development of the business. His responsibilities also included the management of I.T. infrastructure which culminated in a business process re engineering project. Through the extensive deployment of I.T. solutions and organization re-design, this resulted in the consolidation of all business functions through a common IT infrastructure across all departments. This greatly enhanced the efficiency of internal business processes and increased the Company’s capacity to transact more direct business and accept new business through tied insurance intermediaries on line.
With academic qualifications in both Management and Insurance, Nigel has hands on experience in insurance operations from frontline customer service to back office administration such as underwriting, claims management, compliance, human resource management, information technology, and fraud detection and has also personally serviced the insurance requirements of large corporate client accounts in Malta. He has also been instrumental in assisting clients with the risk management of their business carrying out on site surveys and in assisting clients to resume operations post loss.
On the HR Training and Development front, Nigel has frequently conducted in house training for his personnel, as well as lectured various insurance related topics at the Malta Insurance Training Centre, a large local Banking institution in Malta and various management related subjects at other Institutions.
In August of 2008, Nigel left the Insurance agency he co-founded to pursue his other business interests namely Management Consultancy (Rausi Consulting) in the areas of Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Operations Management, Customer Relationship Management, Business Process Re-engineering, Business Process Outsourcing, Insurance and Risk Management and occasionally delivers lectures in various subjects mainly related to Brand Management, Sales, Marketing and Insurance.
